How we handle information when you visit this website or ask us about our services.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

Who is responsible?

Financial Lifestyle Planning Limited is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 07283269. Our registered office is Cobblers Paddock, Pilley Bailey, Pilley, Lymington, SO41 5QT, England.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact Paul Smith using our contact form or write to the registered office marked “Privacy”.

What we collect

When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your preferred consultation method. You may also choose to give a telephone number, a short message and how you found us. For privacy enquiries, choose “A privacy enquiry”.

Please do not include account numbers, identity documents, health information or sensitive family or financial details in this form. We will agree an appropriate way to discuss any information needed for your instructions.

Our hosting service processes technical information such as IP addresses, request times, pages requested and browser information to deliver and protect the website. The form also uses a security session and a temporary, protected identifier derived from your IP address to limit repeated submissions.

Why we use it

Providing an enquiry does not sign you up to marketing or commit you to buying a service. There is no automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant effects through this website.

You are not legally required to complete this form. We need your name and a working email address to respond electronically; other contact details and a message are optional.

Who receives your information?

Enquiries are sent to our business email inbox for Paul and authorised people assisting the business to handle. Our website and email host, InMotion Hosting, and its service providers process information to operate these services. Information may also be accessed by IT support or professional advisers where necessary, or disclosed where the law requires it. We do not sell enquiry details.

If you become a client, we provide a separate customer privacy notice covering the information needed for your Will, LPA or storage instructions and any professional providers involved. This website notice concerns visits and initial enquiries.

Processing outside the UK

InMotion Hosting is a US-based provider. Hosting, email and support can involve processing outside the UK, including in the United States. Its published Data Processing Addendum provides for standard contractual clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum for relevant UK transfers. You can read those contractual safeguards or contact us for information about the arrangements applying to your enquiry.

How long information is kept

For an initial enquiry, we retain correspondence for as long as needed to respond, deal with any follow-up and maintain a proportionate record of the interaction. We consider whether the enquiry is still active, whether it led to client work, and whether the information is needed to address a complaint or legal claim. We delete information when it is no longer needed for those purposes. Client records have separate retention arrangements explained in the customer privacy notice.

The form’s security session expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Its submission-limit records expire after one hour and are removed when the limit file is next maintained by a form submission. Hosting logs and backup copies are managed separately under the hosting service’s retention arrangements.

Cookies and tracking

The public website does not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics, embedded maps or social-media trackers. The enquiry form uses an essential cookie named flp_enquiry to help protect your submission. It contains a random session identifier, not the details you type into the form. The cookie lasts for up to 30 minutes and is refreshed when you use the form’s security service. Blocking it may prevent the form from working.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, ask for inaccurate information to be corrected, request deletion or restriction, and request a portable copy where the right to data portability applies. These rights are not absolute; we will explain any applicable exception.

You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including our use of your optional enquiry-source information. Contact Paul using the form or postal address above. We may need information to verify your identity before responding.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Visit ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not have to contact us first, although we would welcome the opportunity to help.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice if the website or the way we handle enquiries changes. The date above shows when it was last updated.
